Barrel

Barrel is an app used to make the animation from scrolling your pages differently. What this does is that instead of the normal scrolling you can make the icons seem like they are spreading out from a group. This is a very neat tool to use.

This can be found in Cydia with a simple search.

MultiIconMover

            MuliIconMover is a tweak used to make it much easier to move icons around your springboard. This is very helpful to move things if you have many icons. To use this, make your icons wiggle and then tap each one you want to move then there will be a little arrow at the bottom of each one. To take them to a new page simply scroll to the new page and press the home button.

This is simply downloaded by searching for it in Cydia.

Five-icon Springboard

            Five-icon springboard is a tweak used to let there be five icons in a row so you can fit more on your springboard. This is almost must have and once you have it you won’t want to lose it. Most people use this and almost all have enjoyed it.

To get this tweak on your device simply search for it in Cydia.

Infinidock

           Infinidock is a tweak used to let your dock to be well, infinite. The idea is that you can scroll through the dock to help free up space on your springboard and have more apps down there. Also, you can adjust how many icons will be in the dock through settings (1-10.)

To download this, simply search Infinidock in Cydia.

Gridlock

           Once downloaded this tweak will let you “lock” your icons on your springboard, allowing any layout of icons you want. I’ve found this useful for inav themes and to have a square on your springboard.

This is downloaded easily by simply searching in Cydia.

Mxtube

            Mxtube is version of youtube where you can download the videos. I find this useful on my ipod touch for when there is no wifi and I want to see videos.

To get this search in Cydia and it will Show up as a result.

Make it Mine (ChangeCarrier)

The app Make it Mine (ChangeCarrier) is used to change the text on the carrier (top left of the screen). This app is very simple to use, simply type in what you would like to be on the carrier and tap the icon that says carrier.

The app Make it Mine is used on only some versions if it does not work or can’t be found in Cydia use the same app ChangeCarrier.

Installous

            Installous is an app used for getting cracked apps from the Appstore. If you do not know, cracked apps are when someone buys the app from the Appstore, and then posts it online for you to download, and this is exactly what Installous does. Simply Installous will be on an icon on your springboard and once opened the will be options to browse or search. Once you find an app you want simply select it and chose a site you would like to download from (you probably will have to fill out a simple question to convince them you are not a machine.) After it is downloaded and installed it should be on your springboard.

To find this app you must go into Cydia and Tap “manage” then hit “sources, edit, add” then type in http://cydia.hackulo.us/ and then you be able to search Cydia and  find Installous.

Cydelete

        Maybe you have noticed that in order to delete the things you have downloaded from Cydia you will have to go into Cydia and uninstall them there. But there is now a tweak on Cydia to remove apps that you have downloaded like you could apps from the Appstore (by making them wiggle and tapping the little X.)

This can be found by simply searching “cydelete” in Cydia and downloading.

SBsettings

            SBsettings is an app use to access some key settings for your ipod by simply sliding your finger on the status bar. Ounce you slid on the status bar a window will come down and there will be options to turn on/off 3g or wifi, brightness,        and more. This app may be found in Cydia and no sources will nee to be added.

Categories

Categories SB is an App used to section off you apps into folders to make it easier to find apps if you have to many. This app is easy to find (you won’t have to add any sources.) This is much like the option to make folders in version 4.0 but unlike the already made folder there is no max to the amount of apps there can be in one category.

            To do this simply open up categories and tap ”edit” then “add” and now you can name, change the icon, and put whatever apps you want in it. Have fun with Categories!

  

Winterboard

This is used to add a custom look by changing the icons and the background and many more. The app Winterboard can be downloaded onto your Ipod through Cydia. To do this open up Cydia, go to search and type in Winterboard and download it onto your device. Once down loaded it will appear on your springboard.

            Winterboard allows you to activate themes onto your device. There are thousands themes that come out everyday, so it won’t be hard to find some. Here’s a few of my favourite themes: Suave, Glasklart, and Mp2 (will have other posts for themes.) To download themes go into Cydia. Search or browse through many themes and then select the one you want and download. To activate one tap Winterboard and then tap select themes and check off the one you want to activate. You will have to respring after all of this.
